Quick Procedure in the Washing Box
Step 1: Skip the active foam (if it freezes significantly): Aggressive active foam needs to act on the car for a few minutes. However, in frost, the dense foam can freeze to the paint before you rinse it off. It's better to choose a program with warm water and shampoo right away.
Step 2: Pressure rinse with warm water: Touchless car washes heat the water in winter. Use the Main Wash (shampoo with warm water) program and quickly rinse off salt from the body and wheel arches.
Note: Hold the spray gun a bit further from the paint and windows (about 40–50 cm) to prevent the chilled materials from experiencing too sudden a temperature shock.
Step 3: Wax program (Essential): Never skip waxing in winter. It helps repel freezing water from the car's surface, making drying easier and protecting the paint from further salt deposits.
Step 4: Final rinse with osmotic water: Quickly rinse the car to contractually remove chemical residues.
Immediate "Rescue" After Washing (Still in or just outside the box)
As soon as you turn off the spray gun, the car starts cooling rapidly and water on it will freeze.
- Open all doors and the trunk: Take a microfiber cloth and thoroughly dry all the inner rubber seals (sealing rubbers) around the doors and trunk. If you leave drops of water on them, you won't be able to open the doors in the morning.
- Treat the rubber and locks: Apply silicone oil (or deer tallow) to the dried rubber seals. Spray some WD-40 into the locks and around the handles to push out residual moisture.
- Dry the brakes by driving: When leaving the car wash, drive a short distance with the brake slightly engaged (brake intermittently several times). Friction heats the discs and pads, evaporating water and preventing the brakes from freezing overnight.
