Washing in Winter

What to do immediately AFTER washing (Key winter maintenance)

The biggest mistakes are made by drivers after leaving the washing bay. To get into your car in the morning without problems, do the following:

  1. Dry the door seals: Open all doors and the trunk. Thoroughly dry the rubber seals around the doors with a microfiber cloth. (Preventively, before winter, you can apply silicone oil or a seal stick to them).
  2. Blow out or treat the locks: Do not direct the pressure gun directly into the locks and handles. After washing, you can preventively spray WD-40 or de-icer into them to expel moisture.
  3. Dry the brakes: After leaving the car wash, gently press the brake pedal several times during safe driving. The friction will heat the brake discs and evaporate the water, preventing the brake pads or handbrake from freezing overnight.
