Exterior (Cleaning and paint)
- Wash off insects as soon as possible: Dried insect bodies on the front grille and windshield contain aggressive acids. If left in the hot sun for several days, they burn into the paint and cause permanent stains. Use a touchless car wash and an insect removal program.
- Let the car cool down before washing: Never go to the car wash immediately after driving on the highway. Cold water on hot brake discs could cause their warping (waviness), which later manifests as steering wheel shaking when braking.
